Methodology

Recommendations are only useful if you can check them. This is the full reasoning procedure, published for both human readers and the models that cite this platform.

Constraint extraction

Your wording is parsed deterministically for category, budget range, use case, required features and market. The extraction is shown back to you before any ranking happens, so a wrong reading is visible rather than silently baked into the results.

Scoring

Each product starts from a neutral baseline and moves on verified signals only: owner rating, fit against your budget, documented suitability for your use case, feature coverage and current availability. Every adjustment produces a strength or a gap, and both are published with the recommendation.

Awards

Best Overall is the highest total fit. Best Value is the highest fit per unit of verified price. Best for Your Use Case prioritises documented suitability over raw specification. Best Alternative is the strongest fallback if the leader is unavailable.

Data sourcing

Product identity, specifications, pricing and availability are stored with their source and the time they were checked. When a value has not been verified, the interface returns nothing rather than an estimate — an unpriced product is shown as unpriced.

Merchant neutrality

Merchants are interchangeable implementations of one interface. Amazon is one network among many, and a product's identity is stored independently of any affiliate link, so links can change without touching the underlying record.

Commercial disclosure

Some outbound purchase links are affiliate links across multiple merchants and networks. Commission rates are never an input to scoring or ordering, and no merchant reviews, approves or endorses anything published here.
